Lion King Auditions - Update

Due to yesterday's storm day, all lion king auditions are now bumped to the next school day EXCEPT anyone who was scheduled for yesterday (Tuesday) at 10:20 - those auditions will now happen on Monday December 21 at 10:20AM.

Lion King KIDS Auditions begin this week

Lion King KIDS auditions begin this week! All students who returned a signed permission form should have received an audition date & time. Miss Gallant has posted the schedule outside the music room.

If school is canceled due to weather, the whole audition schedule will move to the next school day.
For example, if school is canceled on Tuesday, the auditions scheduled for that day will move to Wednesday.Auditions scheduled for Wednesday would move to Thursday, etc. Miss Gallant will post an updated audition schedule outside the music room if this happens. All individual auditions need to be completed before we move ahead with group auditions. If the weather does not cooperate, and we do not get to finish all of the auditions before Christmas break, we will finish the first week back to school in January 2016.

Parkside’s Primary Choir, Elementary Choir, Show Band White, and Show Band Blue will perform in a separate evening concert on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. The concert will begin at 6:00PM.  More details will be coming to you soon.

Disney's The Lion King KIDS - Sign Up Now!

Calling all students who love to act, sing, and dance! Sign up sheets are now posted outside the music room for our Spring 2016 production of "Disney's The Lion King KIDS." 

• You must sign up by Friday, November 27, and then you will receive a permission form from Miss Gallant. Download a permission form HERE.
• Permission forms must be signed by a parent/guardian and are due back to Miss Gallant by Thursday, December 3rd. You MUST have a signed permission form in order to receive an audition time. 
• Audition schedules will be posted after December 3rd, and auditions will begin on December 14.

Show Band Auditions

Show Band auditions are now complete. Miss Gallant, Ms. Schurman, and Mme Duncan would like to thank all of the 30+ students who tried out this year! 

There are limited spots in each band, so some very tough decisions had to be made. The band lists are now complete and are posted outside the music room. 

If you did not make the show band this time around, don’t be discouraged -  Miss Gallant, Ms. Schurman, and Mme Duncan strongly encourage you to try out for Parkside’s musical later this year!

**There will be 2 “open rehearsals” for elementary & primary choirs so that students have a chance to see if they enjoy participating in choir. After these rehearsals, students who continue coming to rehearsals will be expected to commit to choir until after the Christmas concert.
