Frozen Jr - Cast Information

Hello everyone,

 

We are very pleased and excited to be starting work on our musical for this school year, "Frozen Jr!" Here is some information that we'd like you to be aware of:

 

First After-School Rehearsal

The first after-school rehearsal will take place this Thursday, October 24th until 4:00PM. This rehearsal is for the FULL CAST.

 

Pickup at Full Cast rehearsals

There are approximately 100 students in the cast and 45 students in set design, which can create for a crowd when rehearsal lets out. To make the process a little bit easier, we'll dismiss the students from the following doors:

• Gym Lobby Doors: Oaken's Family, Hidden Folk, Individual Characters
• Main Office Doors: Set Design
• "Walker" Door: Townspeople, Castle Staff, Snow Chorus

Practicing at home

Students should make it a part of their afternoon/evening routine to spend a few minutes going over their song lyrics and/or lines. Students should have received either a blue "Frozen Jr" script, or a booklet of songs for their group. You can listen to all of the songs in the musical by visiting the following link:

Frozen Jr Cast Announcement

Thank you to all of the Parkside students who participated in Frozen Jr auditions over the last few weeks! In all, the direction team saw 120+ auditions! We will be posting the cast list  on Tuesday, October 15. As stated earlier, we can only accept a limited number of students into the cast. For Frozen Jr, we have selected approximately 100 students.
If your child has been selected for the cast, they will receive a letter at school on Tuesday, October 15. Please sign and return this letter by Friday, October 18. If your child has been selected for the cast, but can no longer fulfil the role, (or no longer wants to participate) please let us know ASAP.

Casting decisions were made based on audition results, and we also used a random draw in some cases. Here are some reasons why your child might not have been selected for the cast at this time:
1. The student chose not to attend their audition.
2. The student attended their audition but did not participate fully/did not complete enough of the audition.
3. The student attended their audition, and participated fully, but was not selected at this time as a result of the random draw.
Don't forget that students also have the opportunity to be involved in the set design team! More information will be announced at school tomorrow.
