Updated Choir Pages & February 2-6 Rehearsal Schedule

I have just updated the Elementary Choir page and the Primary Choir page with the latest songs. On these pages, choir members can access copies of their song lyrics and - in most cases - listen to YouTube videos of other choirs performing their songs. This will allow students to practice at home and memorize their songs quickly, so that during choir rehearsal we can work on refining their performance.

Here is the new rehearsal schedule:

Whoops - sorry for posting this late! I will be out a few afternoons this week, so all rehearsals will be held at 10:20AM instead of their regular 12:10pm time.

"I Knew You Were Treble"

Students in grades 4-6 have been working on various activities to introduce & reinforce reading/playing from the treble clef staff. 

This video is a cute way of reviewing the names of the lines & spaces on the treble clef staff. It is a parody of Taylor Swift's song, "I Knew You Were Trouble." Enjoy!

Welcome Back! January 2015

Hello everyone and happy new year! 

Regular rehearsals for show band, vocal group, and choirs will begin again next week. However, please take note of the following:

* There will be a short meeting on Wednesday, January 7 at 12:10PM in the music room for students in grades 3-6 who are interested in joining the elementary choir. This choir is open to anyone who loves to sing. 

* There will be a short meeting on Friday, January 9 at 12:10PM in the music room for students in grades K-2 who are interested in joining the primary choir. This choir is open to anyone who loves to sing. 

* Show Band and Vocal Group members will remain in the same groups - no re-auditions required.
